*Extended Health Insurance/Benefits through employer or business (e.g. some Pacific Blue Cross plans), Health Spending Account. Canadian Certified Counsellors, (Richard Tatomir, M.A., C.C.C. #4610), are Masters-level or higher professionals recognized as meeting some of the highest standards for counsellors/therapists in Canada and are certified by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Most employee Benefits/Extended Health plans (Pacific Blue Cross, etc.) will reimburse you for all or part of your session costs from a certified or registered counsellor, up to a yearly maximum. It is recommended to confirm your coverage with your insurer before your first session as not all plans cover counselling or certain practitioner types and can even differ from employee to employee at the same company. When phoning your insurer:
- make sure Canadian Certified Counsellors certified by the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association are covered and cite credentials (top of page)
- confirm and note your (a) per session maximum, (b) yearly maximum, (c) percent reimbursement (please email this to me at email@example.com as soon as you know)
- if insurer is unsure, request them to add counsellor to their “preferred providers list.”
Payment is expected to come from you (the client), not your insurance company, except for the following: Crime Victim Assistance Program (I am a Registered Provider), ICBC, WCB, WorkBC. Please alert us before your session if any of these circumstances apply to you.
Client/Patient (you) will be responsible for all fees for counselling to Richard Tatomir/Relationship Experts Vancouver and then you will be provided with a receipt you may send to your insurer applying for reimbursement.
I accept cash, cheque, all major credit cards, and Interac e-Transfer as forms of payment.
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel more than 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged up to the full rate of the session.
